That's why every order is backed by our 30-day return promise if your throw, blanket, or bedding doesn't feel exactly the way you imagined, send it back for a full refund. No restocking fees. No return shipping costs. Just an easy, honest process.

How Returns Work

  • Request Your Return

    Email us at hello@thecottonliving.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to send back. Our team will get back to you within 1 business day with your prepaid return label.

  • Pack It Up

    Place your item(s) back in the original packaging if possible anything sturdy will do. Attach the prepaid shipping label we email you, and drop the package at your nearest carrier location.

  • Get Your Refund

    Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. You'll get an email confirmation the moment it's on its way back to you.

What's Eligible for Return

To keep returns simple for everyone, items must meet a few small conditions:

  • Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
  • In original, unused condition unwashed and free of stains, pet hair, or odors
  • Original packaging and tags included where possible
  • Proof of purchase (order number or confirmation email)

Final sale items, gift cards, and items marked as non-returnable cannot be returned. Items showing signs of use, washing, or damage outside of shipping will not be eligible for a full refund.

How long do I have to return an item?

You have 30 days from the delivery date of your order to initiate a return. Returns requested after 30 days cannot be accepted.

Do I have to pay for return shipping?

No. The Cotton Living covers return shipping for all eligible returns within the contiguous United States. We'll email you a prepaid label after you submit your return request.

How do I start a return?

Email us at hello@thecottonliving.com with your order number and the item(s) you'd like to return. Our team responds within 1 business day with next steps and your prepaid label.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return reaches our warehouse, we inspect it within 2–3 business days. After approval, your refund is initiated immediately and typically appears on your original payment method within 3–5 business days.

Can I return an item that has been washed or used?

For hygiene and quality reasons, we can only accept returns of items that are unused, unwashed, and in their original condition. If your item arrived damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we'll take care of it.

Can I exchange an item instead of returning it?

We don't offer direct exchanges at this time. If you'd like a different size, color, or product, we recommend placing a new order and returning the original item for a full refund.

What if my item arrives damaged?

We're so sorry! Please email us at hello@thecottonliving.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a clear photo of the damage. We'll send a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
